Buena Park Wood Flooring is a wood flooring company serving Buena Park, CA, with 20+ years of experience sanding, repairing and installing hardwood floors. We work mainly in homes, from a single stained board in a hallway to a full house of new flooring, and most of that work happens while the family is still living there.

We built the business around the houses in this city. The 1950s were Buena Park’s largest building decade, and most owners live in detached houses from that era, so much of our work is uncovering, repairing and refinishing the oak those houses were built with, and dealing carefully with what previous owners laid on top of it.

Our Approach

Worker refitting shoe molding along a newly finished oak floor in a Buena Park bedroom.

We diagnose before we price. When carpet comes up and oak strip is underneath, we assess it board by board before anyone talks about replacement. When a floor feels soft by a toilet, tub or door, we trace it to the subfloor before quoting a finish floor. Before any material is ordered, we measure moisture in the wood and in any concrete slab, and write the readings down so they travel with the estimate.

We treat older materials with respect and caution. Old parquet is restored, patched or lightened rather than torn out by default, and the adhesive under it is handled as a possible asbestos question first. Houses built before 1978 get lead-safe work practices. When a slab leak or a burst line has damaged a floor, we rebuild it once the plumber has finished and the water crew has dried the house, and we plan any access opening with the plumber before a single board is cut.

We put things in writing. Every estimate is itemized so a landlord, seller, tenant or insurance adjuster can see what is being done and what it costs, with stairs priced per tread and riser rather than hidden in a square-foot total. Water-damage jobs come with photos and moisture readings an adjuster can use.

Every refinish comes with a written cure schedule, so a household staying home knows when each room can be walked on and furnished again. And every finish we apply is legal in the South Coast air basin under the 275 g/L limit for wood coatings.
